Some web sites may receive an error page due to being pointed to our older name servers, ns8.san.yahoo.com, and ns9.san.yahoo.com.  The error message reported is the following:

  • 400 bad request

If you are receiving the above error, please follow the steps below, also located on this help page, to insure you are on the most current name servers, yns1.yahoo.com and yns2.yahoo.com.

  1. Login to your Yahoo! Small Business account.
  2. Click the “Already a customer” link at the top right of the page.
  3. Login with your Yahoo! ID and password.
  4. Click the “Domain Control Panel” link
  5. Click the “Manage Advanced DNS Settings” link on your Domain Control Panel.
  6. In the name servers section, click the “Reset to Default” button.
  7. Confirm your choice by clicking “Reset to Default.”

You will return to the “Advanced DNS Settings” page, and your name servers will have been restored to Yahoo!’s default settings.  While your changes will appear in the name servers within minutes, please be aware that it can take up to 72 hours for new records to propagate to all name servers on the Internet.
