Store customers may encounter an error on checkout

Customers may receive an error when attempting to complete the checkout process on Yahoo! Small Business Merchant Stores.

The error message is as follows:

“The credit card authorization network could not be contacted.  Please try again later.”

As a temporary measure, please disable real-time authorizations.  This should allow the order to be received.

To disable real-time authorizations, please follow these steps:

1. From the “Store Manager,” click the “Payment Center” link under the Order Settings column.
2. Click the name of your merchant account (PayPal Website Payments Pro, Bank of America Merchant Services, or another FDMS compatible provider).
3. Click edit.
4. Select the “Do not authorize at time of order” radio button.
5. Click OK.
6. Return to the Store Manager and publish your order settings.
