Customers may receive an error when attempting to complete the checkout process on Yahoo! Small Business Merchant Stores.
The error message is as follows:
“The credit card authorization network could not be contacted. Please try again later.”
As a temporary measure, please disable real-time authorizations. This should allow the order to be received.
To disable real-time authorizations, please follow these steps:
- From the “Store Manager,” click the “Payment Center” link under the Order Settings column.
- Click the name of your merchant account (PayPal Website Payments Pro, Bank of America Merchant Services, or another FDMS compatible provider).
- Click edit.
- Select the “Do not authorize at time of order” radio button.
- Click OK.
- Return to the Store Manager and publish your order settings.
